When can I harvest?
We invite you to share in the bounty of the Caretaker’s Garden.
Following is a guide of when to harvest the produce:
The tomatoes will need to be red and firm before harvesting
Peppers will vary depending on the type:
For those that will turn red: they will become hotter as they turn from green to red.
Banana peppers will turn yellow and firm before they are ready.
It will be 1-2 weeks before any of the peppers are ready to be harvested
Baltazar makes a very fine salsa from the peppers and tomatoes in his garden.
You can find a variety of recipies online for the peppers and tomatoes you find in our garden.
